How Much Coffee Does a 50-Person Office Need?

A 50-person office does not automatically need 50 coffees per day. The right estimate depends on how many people drink coffee, how many cups they drink, the machine type and the dose used per cup.

A simple office coffee calculation

For a traditional espresso setup using roughly 18 g of coffee per drink, 50 drinks per day uses about 900 g of coffee. Across 20 working days, that is approximately 18 kg per month.

If the office averages 1.5 drinks per person per working day, the same 50-person team could use around 27 kg per month. Bean-to-cup machines can use a different dose per drink, so actual consumption may be lower or higher depending on the recipe.

Do not order only from headcount

Before setting a recurring order, track real consumption for one or two weeks. Consider team attendance, visitors, meetings and whether staff also drink tea or matcha.

Which coffee works best?

For regular workplace use, a balanced profile is usually easier to serve across espresso, americano and milk drinks. Ouro Brasileño is our Brazilian option with chocolate, caramel and roasted-nut notes. Offices that want a brighter profile can also consider Land of Legends.

Build in a small buffer

A practical office supply plan should hold enough coffee to avoid running out between deliveries without keeping excessive roasted stock. The ideal buffer depends on your ordering frequency and storage conditions.
