Brazilian, Ethiopian or Bolivian Coffee: Which Should You Choose?

Patrimonio Bolivian Geisha coffee from Dos Hermanos

Origin does not tell you everything about a coffee, but it can give you a useful starting point. At Dos Hermanos, our Brazilian, Ethiopian and Bolivian coffees are deliberately very different.

Brazil: balanced and versatile

Ouro Brasileño comes from Alta Mogiana, São Paulo. Its chocolate, caramel, roasted-nut and soft-fruit profile is round, balanced and easy to use across espresso, americano, milk drinks and French press.

Choose it if you want an everyday coffee with sweetness, body and familiarity.

Ethiopia: bright, fruity and floral

Land of Legends is a natural-process Ethiopian coffee with raspberry, tropical fruit, plum and florals. It has a juicy body, bright acidity and lingering finish.

Choose it if you want a more expressive coffee for filter or a fruit-forward espresso.

Bolivia: rare and precise

Patrimonio is an auction-selected Geisha from Los Yungas, La Paz, produced by Elías Quispe III in Caranavi. The complete auction lot totalled only 34.38 kg.

Its profile includes jasmine, cherry, peach, grape, mango, dried peach, cinnamon and lemongrass, with bright acidity and a silky body. It is best approached through precision filter brewing such as V60, Chemex or Origami.
